Michael Katzif is a Brooklyn-based writer, photographer, videographer, producer, and musician. A real doer of things.
Currently, Mike is an audio producer for Ask Me Another, a comedy and trivia variety radio show on NPR, and a regular contributing writer for NPR Music and NPR.org.
Previously, Mike worked as the Digital Producer for WNYC’s music program Soundcheck in New York City — as a photographer, videographer and video producer-editor, writer and copyeditor, social media producer, and more.
Before that, Mike worked at NPR and NPR Music in a variety of roles: He was the “esteemed” producer-director and co-creator of Pop Culture Happy Hour, and produced a boatload of podcasts including the Gracie Award-winning Culturetopia. With NPR Music, he filmed and edited NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts series, covered live concerts, and produced festivals such as South By Southwest, Newport, Bonnaroo, and Sasquatch. His work has appeared on various NPR blogs: All Songs Considered, A Blog Supreme, The Record, First Listen, Song Of The Day and more.
In his copious free time, Mike is also an accomplished musician with his fake band, HelloComeIn.com.
