BIO:
Currently, Mike is an audio producer for NPR’s Pop Culture Happy Hour podcast, which he helped co-create from 2010 to 2012, and returned to in 2020 as the show turned to a daily format.
Mike has worked as a producer and photographer for NPR’s comedy and trivia show Ask Me Another and a boatload of other podcasts including the Gracie Award-winning Culturetopia and Alt.Latino. Previously, Mike was a digital producer for WNYC’s music program Soundcheck in New York City — as a writer, photographer, videographer and video producer-editor, copyeditor and social media editor.
Mike has also been longtime regular contributing writer and producer for NPR Music and All Songs Considered. His written work has appeared in various NPR series including Songs We Love, First Listen, A Blog Supreme, The Record, Song Of The Day. He also served as a videographer and editor for NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts series and Field Recordings, and produced audio for NPR Music’s live broadcasts of concerts festivals such as South By Southwest, Newport, Bonnaroo, and Sasquatch.
In his copious free time, Mike is also an accomplished musician with his fake band, HelloComeIn.
